Albert D. Sam II, MD, MS (Surgery), FACS, is a vascular surgeon certified by the American Board of Surgery in vascular surgery and by the American Board of Vascular Medicine in endovascular medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke University. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, including a research fellowship in cardiovascular physiology, followed by a Master's of Science degree in surgery. Dr. Sam served a two-year fellowship in general vascular and endovascular surgery at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Sam serves as Surgisys' Chief Medical Officer.
Donald Varnado, BS, FACMPE, has 42 years in health care administration, working in hospital administration for 20 years and in physician practice management for 22 years. Mr. Varnado graduated from Louisiana College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Management. He is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Surgisys.
Jeff LeBlanc, BA, is a 17 year veteran in the IT industry with experience from three Fortune 500 IT companies. Mr. LeBlanc brings the technical knowledge to keep our IT platform state of the art. As Chief Operating Officer, he uses his experience in business development, operations, project management, and marketing to run the day-to-day operations and the overall vision for our long term goals.
David Barry, RVT, has more than 18 years experience in the health care field. Mr. Barry graduated from the United States Army Radiologic Technology Program and then entered the vascular technology field. He became A Registered Vascular Technologist in 1990. He has functioned as a staff technologist, education director, and Manager/Technical Director of a busy accredited vascular lab. He has been instrumental in securing accreditation for several vascular labs in Louisiana. He is an instructor in vascular technology for the Institute of Ultrasound Diagnostics and Cardiovascular Technology Training. He serves as the Application Services Director for Surgisys.
Patricia Marques, RN, RVT, FSVU, has more than 28 years experience in the vascular technology field. Ms. Marques became a Registered Vascular Technologist in 1986. She was the Manager/Director of one of the first 36 accredited vascular laboratories in 1992. She was associated with the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) for 14 years as a site visitor and applications reviewer. She is a Past President of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) and in 1997 received the prestigious election of "Fellow" member of the SVU. She serves as the Accreditation Services Director for Surgisys.
Wendi Decoteau, BS, RDCS, RVS, has over 10 years experience as a sonographer. Ms. Decoteau is a registered cardiac and vascular technologist and works in an ICAVL accredited vascular laboratory as a staff technologis and as the Technical Director of their Echo Department. Previous positions held have included team leader, staff echo sonographer, and clinical coordinator of an off-site vascular laboratory. She was involved in the adult transthoracic echo accreditation of a Louisiana facility. She serves as the Echo Accreditation Project Manager for Surgisys.
Wendy S. Freiberger, CCRC, RN, BSN, BA, has been involved in the health care field for over 15 years. Ms. Freiberger has specialized in clinical research for over eight years including endocrinology, urology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery. She is certified as a Clinical Research Coordinator by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). She serves as Services Director for Surgisys.
Donna Holmes, BS, has over five years experience in the health care field with the last three years involved in clinical research. Mrs. Holmes graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has been involved with Surgisys for three years and serves as a Medical Data Entry Manager. In this role she oversees the data input specialist and performs QA on the data input for our clients.

John D. Frusha, MD, FACS, RVT, is a vascular surgeon certified by the American Board of Surgery in general vascular surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the LSU Medical Center in New Orleans and completed his residency in general surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Frusha served a one-year fellowship in general vascular surgery at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts, and has served as clinical assistant professor at the LSU School of Medicine since 1984.
Andrew J. Olinde, MD, FACS, RVT,is a vascular surgeon certified by the American Board of Surgery in general vascular surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the LSU Medical Center in New Orleans and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Mississippi in Jackson. Dr. Olinde served a one-year fellowship in general vascular surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago and, and, in 2002-3 was named one of the top Surgeons in the United States by the Consumers Research Council of America.
